POSITION SUMMARY

Elektrofi is seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and experienced Head of Supply Chain (Sr. Director/Director Level)  who will be responsible for building the supply chain team at Elektrofi.  This role reports to the SVP, Head of Technical Operations and will support the executive team in developing strategic and operating plans to ensure that the company has the appropriate resources to support current forecasted business and projected growth.  Support all Elektrofi locations in oversight of the purchasing and demand planning.  Serve as the interface between Program Management, Development, and Manufacturing for internal, partner, and CDMO stakeholders.  Develop and manage business processes & systems for demand planning, material planning, purchasing, capacity planning, and production plans.  Oversee and successfully implement the use of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System for manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement.  Establish D&OP Development and Operations Plan business process.   Establish materials receipt, handling, transportation, shipping, and warehouse resources to ensure continuous supply for laboratory operations and pilot plant production.  Develop planning values, maintain supply chain master data such as supply lead times and manufacturing cycle times.  Lead cross-functional business teams to successfully accomplish goals and objectives, while continuously improving supply chain performance.  Create, implement, measure, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and trend supply chain performance.  Develop Strategic Supplier Partnerships with key suppliers that ensure uninterrupted supply of components for laboratory and manufacturing operations.  The Head of Supply Chain should thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and be a key player in Company’s growth. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  •  Perform all duties in keeping with the Company’s core values, policies, and applicable regulations.
  • As a member of the Technical Operations Leadership Team, be a change leader to develop and implement innovative supply approaches to meet the challenges of a rapidly growing business.
  • Accountable for all supply chain operations related to laboratory and manufacturing operations.
  • Closely partner with the global network planning and scheduling teams to support global program supply performance for Partner programs.
  • Lead the Development and Operations Planning process to ensure sites are positioned to meet all development and clinical production needs.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders to ensure internal & external production plans and capacity are aligned with clinical demand and partner needs.
  • Establish and own relationships with suppliers.
  • Oversee on-site material inventory management to ensure it aligns with production needs.
  • Partner with PM and IT functions to implement new supply technologies and systems.
  • Build and develop a hard-working team that follows all cGXP requirements while maintaining sufficient agility to adapt to dynamic and evolving business needs.
  • Ensure training and qualification for staff are in place to deliver right-first-time execution.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering/Sciences; Advanced degree in supply chain management required, Masters degree a plus
  • Minimum of 10 years of shown experience in a GMP environment, preferably within a site supply chain organization and in a biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years supporting ERP Systems.
  • Deep experience in planning and logistics in a clinical and commercial manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced commercial acumen and ability to influence and direct stakeholder decision-making at senior levels.
  • Shown ability to inspire change and build new business processes within a diverse and matrix organizational environment.
  • Advanced business management skills including both financial planning and team management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and customer service-oriented skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient computer skills.
