POSITION SUMMARY

Elektrofi is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our biotech company full-time as an Associate Scientist in Translational Development to support the development of the novel Elektrofi formulation platform. The individual will join a growing, multidisciplinary team of scientists/engineers and contribute to a variety of in vitro and in vivo activities in a highly collaborative environment focused on drug product translation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, plan, and execute in vitro and in vivo experiments to generate preclinical data that supports the development of Elektrofi’s technology platform via Critical Quality Attribute (CQA) analysis
  • Conduct data analyses, interpret experimental results, and contribute to the preparation of technical reports and manuscripts
  • Work closely with the Translational team and other internal groups such as Formulations, Analytical, Process, and Quality to produce test articles for Translational studies
  • Support the coordination of studies at external CROs (contract research organizations)
  • Participate in scientific meetings and present research findings to the team and external parties
  • Effectively document and communicate ideas and results
  • Stay current on industry trends, advancements, and best practices, and proactively implement new technologies and techniques to improve research outcomes

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. required M.S. preferred in the following: Biology, Bioengineering, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of laboratory experience required, laboratory experience in industry preferred
  • General understanding of protein biochemistry and biophysical analytical techniques is desirable
  • Specific hands-on laboratory experience with protein formulations and stability characterization is a plus, but other lab experiences will be considered
  • Experience with drug delivery and formulation science experience is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to thoroughly document experimental work, and take detailed notes
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Collaborative interdisciplinary teamwork experience in a fast-paced research environment with project timelines
  • Desire to learn concepts and techniques in protein formulation and translational science
