POSITION SUMMARY

Elektrofi is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sr. Manager/Associate Director to join our Program & Portfolio Management team.  This team is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of development activities related to its strategic partnership programs. You will be joining a preclinical stage company with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and contribute to a variety of development activities in a highly collaborative environment. This position will play a pivotal role in driving partnerships and managing programs focused on the development and commercialization of the Company’s ultra-high concentration biologics delivery platform.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program Planning, Execution, and Management:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with cross-functional teams, and monitor progress ensuring successful achievement of milestones.
    • Manage and foster relationships while overseeing program planning, coordination, and execution for all collaborative development programs with external partners ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
    • Summarize key information including program progress, timeline updates, and risk/opportunity assessments for strategic discussions and decision making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for external partners, liaising between internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on program objectives and deliverables and bringing about successful outcomes.
  • Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
    • Identify potential program risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies to address challenges in a timely manner and ensure program success.
  • Financial Management and Budget Oversight:
    • Work in conjunction with Finance and the Portfolio manager to manage program budgets and financial resources, tracking expenditures and ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Program and Portfolio Management Team:
    • Proactively seek out opportunities for organizational improvement (e.g. team structure, processes, communication, etc.)
    • Contribute to department initiatives as needed to support the effective scaling of PPM capabilities.
    • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to garner support for department initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5+years of experience (Sr. Manager) or 5-8+ years of experience (Assoc. Dir.) in the biotech industry required.
  • Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience required, MS preferred.
  • PMP certification and prior experience with Smartsheet required.
  • Ability to manage scientifically and operationally complex activities with 3+ years of technical program management in a scientific organization preferred.
  • Familiarity with the biologic’s development process, clinical operational planning, and related functions preferred.
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems to achieve program goals.
  • Strong team player who can rapidly build positive relationships, proactively partner across teams with the ability to motivate and influence others, and negotiate diplomatically both internally and externally..
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas across program boundaries and influence others to act and maximize outcomes.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Superb attention to detail and a passion for follow-through.
  • Ability to prioritize and parallelize tasks according to business objectives.
  • Able to balance the strategic needs of programs with tactical day-to-day activities.
